Today really happy!! cause worked an early shift of 6 to 2pm. I was so excited and look forward to be at the senior lodge. Tzu-Chi has some chinese new year activities for the seniors.

Although I don't get to participate for the whole session, only attended the last half hour of the session, I felt the warm of the seniors. They especially have enjoyed the singing of the new year's song and lucky draw and the presents. They're so happy when they see you. Many of them are so cute!! just so adorable..with their little glasses and smiling faces. Their hand are just so soft .

I just came in from outside, and it was cold. One of the seniors held my hand for so long that she help me warmed my hands. When I hold thier hands, I remember they just wanted to hold your hand longer and wish that you could just stay and they will just hold you like a baby to cherish and love.

I can feel that they want me to sit down with them, spent time with them, wanted me to stay, and they just have the urge to hold my hands even longer.

So with a little warm, each and everyone of us can really make a difference in someone's life.

Although it seems like we're helping others when doing charity, comes to the truth, it is really US helping ourselves. Helping ourselves to opening our heart that's is long shut, the compassionate door that's in us all along, our buddha's nature, love in the puress form, waiting to be flow out.

....But we never had a chance to explore this buddha's nature, till we're very old...and yet...still might not notice what wonders it does, is really hidden treasure, till we explore it further ourselves.

We're too busy with "outside things", that we've all forgotten about our "inner treasure" that have been long lost and covered by Dust. Can you imagine, what treasure it is when you found treasure? Just like the movies..when you see a treasure chest...You just say "WOW"!!....and you see it all covered by DUST, long forgotten. But once you start digging and uncovered the dust with your hands, the more you uncovered the dust with your hands, the clearer you can see what you've found for yourself.

We spend our whole life chasing for money, love relationship, materialistic things..but nothing is yours to grasped..so what's the point? THE WORSE is you've to LEARN TO LET GO after YOU'VE SPEND ALL YOUR LIFE CHASING AFTER IT AND WAS SUCCESSFUL OBTAINING IT. ALL We've to LET GO!

Do you find it really interesting that THE MORE YOU GRASPED, THE MORE YOU'VE TO LEARN LET GOING, THE MORE YOU LOSE, CAUSE NOTHING IS YOURS, EMPTY HAND COMES, EMPTY HAND GOES, WHEN YOU LET GO, You Actually GAIN MORE..strange universal law isn't it?? That's why I find buddhsim so interesting, it helps you discover your inner buddha's nature, your full potential of what you really can do for this world, and help you understand more about the Universal Law and help you see the truth of the universe. To see things as it is, clearly with wisdom and with no hindrance, with true understanding, right thoughts, and perceptions without ignorance.

When you see the true nature of things, just the way it is, it is peaceful, and you'll see your PATH..to englihtenment.

I think in this life, warm and love is so important. Never neglect and be cold to the person beside you, either a family member or a friend. Once a verse I saw from master cheng yen, the founder of Tzu-Chi. She says: When we board the train at birth, we're heading towards unavoidable destination of death, the only meaningful thing to do is to be kind to our fellow passengers.

"Let's make a fire on the frosty road
and light a lantern at the dark corner
to wipe away all the tears of the miserable
and warm up the chilled hearts in this world"
