[MY BOOK] [MY LIFE] [PHOTO ALBUM] [COMMENT] [HELPING OTHERS SITE]
I just called and talked to one of my friend Alice today. I actually met her in the temple a few years ago. She is a very nice and humble lady. She told me alot of her beliefs and some of her life experiences. During these few years, I have seen her changing alot...sign of aging. I felt for her. Today, I talked to her, she said her husband is not feeling well these days. I can feel that she is quite sad and depress at this time. The conversation did not last too long, I can sense that she wants to cut the conversation short....
Her husband, as I call him Uncle, he is getting very weak lately. We use to pay him a visit once in a while and I did play chinese chess with him just a few times. He is indeed really good in Chinese Chess, and he is 80+. She has to take care of Uncle most of the time. Only two of them living in the apartments and their sons and daughters are far away from them.
All these makes me think of all the seniors who are lonely and still thinking when are their love ones going to visit them. Is very sad that this is happening. Sometimes, we're too busy with our own work or life that we have neglected many important people in our lives.
In some point in our life, we're young at heart......and when age is cripping near us...we really can't help it. Who wants to get sick and who wants to get old..so to speak.
Just remember how our parents have taken care of us when we're young. Is time to treasure them when they're still hear. Spend more time with them, show them love, talk to them, spend time with them, so that they will never feel lonely. Most of all, make them part of your life.
