[MY BOOK] [MY LIFE] [PHOTO ALBUM] [HELPING OTHERS SITE] [SIGN MYGUESTBOOK / COMMENT ]

I saw a really sad documentary film yesterday..don't know why there's so many of this sad stories lately..slowly revealing. Is not that I purposely want to see them...is just the fact... what's happening in some parts of the world. This is a story of China..a province called "River South"--(HER NAN). Alot of people are very poor in this province, and with the blood supply of the country runing low couple years earlier...people are encouraged to sell their blood for $50 yuan (renmenbi). As you could imagine..alot of poor people went and sell their blood to get the money for maintaining their livelihood. But...many people who sold their blood for money contracted AIDS...although now selling blood for money has been made illegal..there are approximately 1,000,000 people has AIDS. But the stunning fact is.... the people are so strong ...how they can live day in and day out with this kind of determination. They try so hard to stay alive...until their last breath...to them live is so precious...and not taking it lightly. One of the children did survive one of the rare and deadly diseases... as she recalled, she cried. She told the media about how her sister sell blood to get money to cure her disease. She said her sister didn't give up on her...but she was really sad that she lost her sister because her sister contracted AIDS as well..after selling blood for money. The child who survived the rare disease is now cured...she told the media that she wants to be a doctor, to help those around her whose going through all the hardship of life.

Everytime I see this kind of documentary film..is reflection time for me again....the message across is to treasure life!! don't waste it away on unimportant and petty matters. Start treasuring each moment of your day...do not waste it on unproductive matters...may be the only thing meaningful is to start giving hope, life, light to others who are less fortunate...and slowly moving away or focus of "ME"..what I want ..What I need...etc...... becoming more selfless could be good sometimes.....and may be start from ourselves...and slowly changing how the world is right now...to be more considerate...and selfless society...better distribution of wealth and food.
